FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hustle City Clothing?
Hustle City Clothing is thoughtfully inappropriate apparel: graphic streetwear, accessories, underwear, and custom pieces made for people who like their clothes with a little more nerve.
We make bold, weird, gay, funny, dramatic, and occasionally unreasonably specific things. That is the point.
Are your products made to order?
Most of our products are made to order. That means we usually make your item after you place your order instead of pulling it from a giant warehouse full of mystery shirts.
Made-to-order helps us avoid waste, keep more designs available, and make sure we are producing intentionally instead of creating piles of unsold inventory. Very glamorous. Very responsible. Very “we do not have a warehouse, babe.”
How long does it take to make my order?
Most orders need production time before shipping or pickup. Production time can vary depending on the item, order volume, materials, and whether your order includes custom work.
If you need something by a specific date, contact us before ordering. We can’t always promise a rush order, but we can tell you what is realistic before anyone gets dramatic.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Local pickup is available for eligible orders in St. Louis.
Pickup is handled through a scheduled pickup system. When your order is ready, we send you the details you need, including the pickup window and instructions. Please do not show up randomly. We love boundaries and locked doors.
Do you ship?
Yes. We ship orders to the address provided at checkout.
Make sure your shipping address is correct before placing your order. If an order is shipped to the wrong address because the wrong address was entered at checkout, we may not be able to recover or replace it.
Can I return or exchange something?
Because many of our items are made to order, returns and exchanges may be limited.
If there is a problem with your order, contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos if relevant. We will review the issue and let you know what we can do.
We do not accept returns on worn underwear. That should not need to be said, but here we are, being a business.
What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the issue.
If we made a mistake, we will work on fixing it. If the package was damaged in transit, photos help us understand what happened and decide the next step.
Do you make custom orders?
Yes. We offer custom apparel and related services depending on the project.
Custom work may include custom shirts, vinyl graphics, event pieces, branded items, and other special requests. Pricing depends on the design, materials, quantity, deadline, and how much chaos is being requested.
Use the Custom Orders page to start the conversation.
Do you offer business services?
Yes. Hustle City Clothing offers select business solutions, especially for small businesses, local brands, events, and people who need apparel or graphics without pretending they have a corporate procurement department.
Services may include vinyl cutting, heat-transfer work, signage, apparel decoration, and related production support.
If you already have shirts, blanks, or a heat press and only need part of the process handled, say that. We can quote the specific piece you need.
What is the Build Your Own Jockstrap / Jockstrap Remixer?
It is our live custom jockstrap builder. You choose your waist size, pouch size, fabric, waistband style, and optional add-ons, then see the design update as you build it.
Options may include stock fabrics, specialty slut print fabrics, custom upgrades, modern 1-inch or old-school 3-inch waistband styles, an optional zipper, and custom waistband text on eligible builds.
For old-school waistband builds, you can add up to 15 characters of custom text and preview it live in one of our font options. The builder shows changes as you make them, then sends your finished build to Shopify checkout when you are ready to order.
It is less “pick a pair from a dropdown” and more “character creation screen, but make it underwear.”
How do I know what size to order?
Use the Size Chart page before ordering.
We currently provide sizing guidance for T-shirts and underwear. If you are between sizes, your best choice may depend on how you like the item to fit: tighter, relaxed, lower-rise, more supportive, or less “wrapped like a hostage.”
For underwear, fit preference matters. Check the chart, then choose based on your body and comfort level.
Do your shirts fit true to size?
Most T-shirts are standard unisex fit unless otherwise noted on the product page.
Check the product description and size chart before ordering, especially if you care about length, oversized fit, or a closer fit. Product photos and descriptions may include additional fit notes when relevant.
How should I wash Hustle City Clothing items?
For most printed apparel, wash inside out with cold water and tumble dry low or hang dry when possible. Avoid high heat when you can. Heat is useful when we are making the item. Heat is less cute when it is attacking your laundry.
Underwear is hand wash only. Each underwear item includes a care card, and yes, we mean it. Elastic, specialty fabrics, custom construction, and heat-applied details do not want to be bullied by your washer and dryer.
Follow the care card so your piece stays cute and so nobody has to come back acting surprised that elastic is not immortal.
Are your designs printed in-house?
Many items are made or finished in-house using heat-based production methods, including heat-transfer vinyl and DTF transfers.
Some components, blanks, or materials may come from outside suppliers, but the final product is produced, finished, customized, or packaged by Hustle City Clothing depending on the item.
Do you use DTF or vinyl?
Yes. We use heat-transfer vinyl and DTF transfers depending on the product, material, design, and durability needs.
Different products need different methods. A giant T-shirt graphic, a hat, a nylon bag, and a stretch underwear waistband are not the same production problem. We choose the method based on what actually works.
What is HCC TV?
HCC TV is our video gallery: short ads, product clips, visual experiments, and tiny little brand broadcasts from the Hustle City universe.
It is basically our commercial break, except we are the channel.
What is Fit Check?
Fit Check is our blog and content section. It may include product notes, styling ideas, behind-the-scenes posts, announcements, and other writing from the brand.
Some of it is useful. Some of it is personality. Ideally both.
Do you have an app?
Yes. Our current app experience is the Jockstrap Remixer / Build Your Own Jockstrap tool.
Right now, the app is focused on that custom builder specifically. More Hustle City app tools may come later, but for now, it is where you build a custom jockstrap and send your finished design to Shopify checkout.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards are available.
They are useful when you know someone would like Hustle City Clothing but you do not want to personally choose their underwear, which is probably wise.
Can I request a design that is not listed?
You can ask. We may say yes, no, or “that is technically possible but financially rude.”
Custom design requests depend on the artwork, product type, production method, deadline, and whether the idea fits what we can actually make well.
Can I use my own artwork?
Usually, yes, if the artwork is usable and you have the right to use it.
Clean vector artwork is ideal for many custom projects. Low-resolution screenshots, blurry logos, and “can you just pull it from Instagram?” are less ideal. We can review what you have and tell you what is realistic.
Can you recreate another brand’s design?
No. We do not copy another brand’s protected design, logo, artwork, or product.
We can help create something inspired by a general vibe, theme, or direction, but we are not here to counterfeit somebody else’s work in a little villain apron.
How do I contact you?
Use the Contact page.
Include your order number if you are asking about an order. For custom or business requests, include the product type, quantity, deadline, and any artwork or reference images you already have.
